Missing Fort Collins Woman Sought in Larimer County
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office issued a press release Friday afternoon asking for the public's assistance in finding a missing 78-year-old Fort Collins woman.
The release states that Dorothy Nazarenus was last seen at her home in southeast Fort Collins Thursday morning (3/9/17). When a relative arrived at her home shortly after 8 a.m., it was then realized that both Dorothy and her vehicle were missing.
This isn't the first time this type of incident has happened. Nazarenus does suffer from dementia and has been missing from home for several days in the past. Officials state that they don't believe that anything suspicious has occurred.
She is 5'4" tall, weighs 142 pounds, and has blonde hair and blue eyes. Dorothy drives a beige or gold 2001 GMC van with Colorado license plates 844BZW. It is a full size van with darker brown pin striping on the sides. The vehicle also has a full size spare tire mounted on the rear cargo doors.
Officials ask that if you see Dorothy or her vehicle, please call law enforcement immediately. You can also contact Chris Wenrick at the Larimer County Sheriff's Office at 970-416-1985.
