While I don't condone being a jerk just for the sake of being a jerk, or arguing just to argue, some people know how to turn the situation into a humorous goldmine. Case in point: David Thorne. An Australian graphic-designer who describes himself as: "Amongst my qualities, which include reciting prime numbers backwards from 90956, reading to blind children & training seals, embellishment may be at the top." What he does is posts his email conversations with people who, for lack of a better saying, aren't all there.

Blockbuster Employee of the Month

After receiving a letter about overdue fees from Blockbuster (for Journey to the Center of the Earth, Logan's Run, Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay, and Waterworld), this is a brief view of their back-and-forth:

The debate goes on and on, with David explaining that the premise of Journey to the Center of the Earth not being plausible (it probably isn't), as well as understandable explanations of why he hasn't returned the movies. You can finish reading the exchange here.

Missy The Cat

David received an email asking for help to create a "Missing cat" poster. The woman asking was a little vague with the details, and it doesn't even make sense why she couldn't make a poster. Anyways, this is the beginning of their encounter.

For unknown reasons, this Shannon person did not think this poster would be helpful. The debate continues, as David tries his hardest to help the woman out, while at the same time establishing himself as the master of procrastination and being able to properly misinterpret almost everything.

You can read the rest of this string of hilarious emails here.

What are the perks of being a dick-head? You can say what you really think, with as much disregard for other people as you want. And it's usually funny for everyone else.
