We are less than a week away from the most important thing I do... Lures 4 Laney. A benefit concert at the Aggie in Fort Collins in memory of Delaney Wadsworth with all the proceeds from the show going to Childrens Hospital Colorado for cancer research. But you can't have a show without bands, and I feel like I have gathered some of the best from around Colorado. Today we take a look at Shatterproof

I had the opportunity to see these guys earlier this year at a radio station event where they won a battle of the bands competition (easily I might say). I was mesmerized by the stage presence of such young dudes, and the other thing that caught my eye was their use of the electric violin which you don't see very often these days. Defiantly a cool touch to a cool band full of a bunch of cool dudes.

Shatterproof goes on stage at 5pm Saturday and will play until 6pm.

Shatterproof is a Fort Collins alternative rock band made up of Branson Hoog (Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar), Jeremy Marmor (Guitar, Backup Vocals), Josh Schoenig (Bass, Screams), Tj Wessel (Violin, Keys) and Benjamin Spoliansky (Drums).

In early 2012 they released their new EP "Running in Circles" recorded at Backbone Studios in Loveland CO, with producer Jason Larson.

In August 2012 they were invited to play main stage for Bohemian Nights at New West Fest, their biggest show yet.

Soon after they released their first music video for the single "Scissors Just Don't Cut It."
In January 2013, the band entered the Blasting Room with producer Andrew Berlin (Rise Against, Tickle Me Pink) to record two more singles to be released early in the year.

The first single "Expectations" was released in March with a music video to accompany it."To the Grave" followed soon after in April.
