As a music fan there is always something new and great, but there really is something special about the songs you grew up listening to. For me, that was 70′s and 80′s classic rock. If I am in a shi**y mood, I throw in a little Zeppelin or Rush and take a trip back to rolling in my mom’s T-Bird. Now every Wednesday you get to take that trip with me. It’s Way Back Wednesday with Butch, and today we feature a dude who will be in our neighborhood this weekend...George Lynch from Dokken and their 1986 hit "In My Dreams.”

"In My Dreams" was released in 1986 on the album Under Lock and Key. The song peaked at number 24 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and at number 77 on the Billboard Hot 100. A remake was produced for The Party and released in 1991, but with a more teen-pop/ dance appeal.

George Lynch who is highly regarded as one of the greatest guitarist to ever play rock n' roll music, and Dokken isn't the only successful project Lynch has been a part of. Lynbch also founded the band Lynch Mob, and now all the original members from Dokken, minus Don Dokken himself, are back together in a group called T & N.

George will be in Brighton, Colorado this Saturday, June 1st, with Intern Romero and his band Romeo Delight as part of Copperfest. The show is free for everyone.

Now take a trip back to 1986 with us here...
