As a music fan there is always something new and great, but there really is something special about the songs you grew up listening to. For me, that was 70's and 80's classic rock. If I am in a shi**y mood, I throw in a little Zeppelin or Rush and take a trip back to rolling in my mom's T-Bird. Now every Wednesday you get to take that trip with me. It's Way Back Wednesday with Butch, and today's feature is from an album that just turned 40, and a band coming to our neck of the woods tonight (June 25)... "Strutter" by KISS.

You knew I had to feature KISS on a night that they are coming to Colorado, right? KISS and Def Leppard will be live tonight at the Pepsi Center in Denver. Tickets and details can be found here.

It is also the 40th anniversary of the band's self-titled first album. "Strutter" was the third single from the album and failed to chart, but is still one of the bands most famous songs, and almost always played live. It also happens to be former KISS drummer, Peter Criss' favorite KISS song.

Now take a trip back 40 years with us to 1974 here...
