Every person on earth is some mother's son or daughter. Put another way, each one of us owes our existence to our mom, and most of us owe her even more for spending years and years putting our interests before hers. Keep in mind that hitting a home run on Mother's Day is no excuse for neglecting moms the other 364 days in a year. But showing you care in the right way on Mother's Day certainly doesn't hurt. What are you doing for your mom?

Some choose to go all out, others choose to keep Mother's Day rather low key. Either way you choose to do it, the goal is to let mom know that you love her and thank her for all she has done. So whatever it takes to get that job done works.

For me, I have always been a giver. I am one of those guys that could care less what i get for Christmas, I just want to wow everyone else with the gifts that I give. I like to put thought into the gifts I give, and really put a smile on the receivers face. In the case of Mother's day I have a lot of "Mother's" in my life that I shop for. I have my real mother, a step-mom who has been great, a couple grandmothers who I love dearly, a godmother, and the mother of my children. It is almost like Christmas in May with that list. I have done a little of everything over the years. But, with money becoming tighter over the last few years I found that it doesn't really matter what they get as long as they get a phone call and maybe a card. Of course, my kids mother gets a little more from the kids. This year, well, I haven't shopped yet. I should probably get on that, huh?
