At the end of August, thousands of male tarantulas will hit the road to try and find a mate.

It's time to roll up your windows and zip your tent up tight, as the annual tarantula "migration" is set to begin at the end of the month. According to Colorado State University, the hairy, eight-legged spiders usually start their journey in the southeastern part of the state and travel through September.

After that, they will migrate southwest through the month of October. The Denver Channel says that if you're looking to find the creepy creatures, the best place is at Comanche National Grassland near La Junta, Colorado.
