Rocker Plans to Make a Legal-Weed Venue in Colorado
We're all used to a little contact high after a concert, but this venue would make it legal to smoke pot indoors — and it'd be the first of its kind in the U.S.
The man behind this concept is Dean Ween, of the alternative rock group Ween, who says he will be opening up a music venue near Coors Field where you can legally use marijuana.
Jambands.com has shared that in a post on a private Ween Facebook fan page, Dean Ween made the announcement: 'Well, we weren’t going to announce this just quite yet but now that the toothpaste is out of the tube, you can’t get it back in. I’m going to be opening a cannabis friendly music venue in Denver in the spring of 2019, Dean Ween’s Honeypot Lounge, and I will be in complete control of the entertainment schedule, which has always been a dream of mine...'
Westword reported that Ween is still waiting for approval from the City of Denver, but according to Ultimate Classic Rock, if approved, the venue is slated to (appropriately) open on April 20, 2019. There is already a Facebook page and a website in development for Dean Ween's Honey Pot Lounge, so it looks like the endeavor is hopeful. Read more from Westword here.
