The punk rock bands Dropkick Murphys and Rancid are co-headlining once again, after their first Boston To Berkley Tour in 2017, and like last time, the tour will stop in Denver for an outdoor show, but unlike last time, it's not in the middle of the summer.
Dropkick Murphys and Rancid will be coming to the Mission Ballroom 'Outdoors' on Friday, October 1 (Bundle up, probably!). Lineup order will vary, as the bands will alternate which act closes throughout the tour, however Rancid is billed first for the Colorado date. General admission tickets start at $49.99, and are on sale Friday, June 18 at 11 a.m. here; all ages.
Though one hails from Boston and the other from Berkley, the bands' history together spans decades. It was in 1997 that Rancid's Lars Frederiksen gave a copy of Dropkick Murphys' first EP to his bandmate Tim Armstrong, who also is the president of Hellcat Records, after discovering at a friend's house. Armstrong then signed the band to his label.
'Looking forward to hitting the road with the Dropkick Murphys again for the second edition of our Boston To Berkeley Tour,' Armstrong said in the concert announcement release. 'Our good buddies The Bronx will be joining us on tour as well. See ya in the pit!'
Dropkick Murphys' Ken Casey said that the band is ready to 'kick the touring door open again,' and 'take the country by storm.'
