Lovers Shot to Death While Having Sex in Park

It's like a crazy Sex Sent Me to the ER episode - with an unfortunately fatal ending.

Shakoor Arline, 25, and Lisa Smith, 32, were fatally shot in the head at a Philadelphia park by an assailant who held an "obvious" grudge over the relationship.

"I can tell you from the crime scene it appears to be very much a crime of passion," Philadelphia Police Captain James Clark told reporters. "Somebody knew that they were in the park at that time and obviously had an issue with that."

Arline and Smith were having sex in a vehicle at the park when, at some point between midnight and 5 a.m., the shooter opened the rear door and fired at least 9 shots - hitting them both in the head.

The couple met on the job at a mechanic's shop where Arline worked. They were seeing each other "on the side" of their primary relationships, according to Clark. A friend of Arline said he was considering a move to Arizona to be with Smith.
