Death Cab for Cutie: Dad Jokes, Mom Stories and More On-Air With Shelby

The guys from Death Cab for Cutie were in Fort Collins this week, and bassist Nick Harmer swung by The X studio leading up to the release of the band's new album, Thank You for Today.

I debated not bringing up my 'dad joke' about Death Uber for Cutie... that is, until Harmer himself kicked things off with a pretty bad joke only a father could tell.

I just flew in [to Denver] and boy, are my arms tired.

Harmer also told me about how his mom totally crashed one of his favorite concerts as a kid (in the coolest way possible), and shared the story behind the band's new single, 'Gold Rush.'
