It is a good time to be a basketball fan in Colorado. The Nuggets are looking great, the University of Colorado keeps beating teams they aren't supposed to, and now Colorado State University is ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 basketball poll for the first time since 1954!

To make things even better, the Rams are not even at the bottom of the 25 team poll, instead they come in at #24, one spot ahead of last years national champs from Kentucky.

The Rammies are 19-4 on the season and 6-2 in Mountain West Conference play. They have won their last four games, including two on the road, to put themselves a half game out of first place in the Mountain West standings.

The Rams also are No. 24 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
