Well, we have pretty much made it! Only one more day left until the huge rock spectacular in Northern Colorado, Blue Oyster Cult and Cheap Trick at the Taste of Country Concert’s at the Greeley Stampede. The excitement has been building and and it finally comes to a great big bang today with our final installment of videos that highlight the two band's biggest hits.  Now that we are all so excited, we'll see you tomorrow, this Saturday, at the Greeley Stampede!

Today, for the final video, it's the biggest hit that came from the two bands. "I Want You To Want Me" was originally released by Cheap Trick on their 1977 album In Color, and the song went to #1 in Japan, but didn't make a splash in the states. Because of the success in Japan though, the band was invited to play a few shows at a Japanese arena called Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. So, in 1978 Cheap Trick decided to record a live album at Budokan, and released the live version of  "I Want You To Want Me" as a single. This is when it became the huge hit that it is today in the States. The song reached #7 on the U.S. charts and sold over three million copies making it certified gold. The song has been covered by dozens of artists and actually made the charts again in 2000 when covered and released as a single by country artist Dwight Yoakam. Although he has never said it, the song is widely believed to be written about Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen's father, and the hardships that the two had.
