The 'dog days of summer' have now passed, and the holidays are on the way. In between, comes fall events like Estes Park's big one to kick off fall.

One of the great things about living in Northern Colorado is the fantastic scenery. Another, is the way the local communities have events to celebrate the change of seasons. This one, happening that first weekend of fall, is truly "Colorado."

With so many out-of-state visitors hitting Estes Park during the summer, now that it's passed Labor Day and before the snow falls, it's the perfect time of year for Coloradans to come to town. A great event is happening; especially if you enjoy beers, brats. and bands.

Put on by the Estes Valley Sunrise Rotary Club, the annual event will take place in Bond Park, in the center of town. You can count on seeing elk, great scenery, and maybe some old friends. Maybe you'll start a new tradition, this year, with the event. I like the sound of a cold beer, a cool band and a hot brat on a weekend afternoon, that's for sure.
