Twitter is buzzing about Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and it's because of a post from Mikel Jollett of The Airborne Toxic Event. The musician and New York Times bestselling author took to to his twitter Monday to ask his followers with that best music venue in America is — and sorry, Greek Theatre, but you didn't stand a chance.

Within minutes, the Colorado venue was a front runner for best in the U.S. The 'Sometime Around Midnight' band played Red Rocks in 2012, accompanied by the Colorado Symphony.

Jollett replied to fellow artist FINNEAS (as in Eilish) about his experience at Red Rocks, and dealing with its altitude. Jollett said that artists should arrive two days prior to their performance date to adjust. That, and hydrate a lot.

By early Tuesday morning, Red Rocks was a trending topic on Twitter in United States, alongside El Chapo and Dr. Fauci. So, obviously, we win.

Red Rocks is currently working on plans to operate this summer within COVID-19 guidelines, and has submitted a variance for holding in-person events. Last summer, the outdoor venue was able to open for a short period of time, at a limited capacity. While it can normally reach a capacity of nearly 10,000, in 2020 it was permitted to have a capacity of 175 people, socially distanced. You can see its (tentative) 2021 calendar here.
