I don't get 4:20.  And believe me, I am not an anti-weedist.  But out of all the things to tax a stoner with, watching the clock so as not to miss thee official minute you're supposed to spark up?  Also, most pot smokers do it all day, every day, anyway.  Then, there are those of us who understand that business before pleasure can really work.  Maybe I'm just being too analytical.  Oh well, I'm sure I'm not the only one doing that today!

Read below for a quick 4:20 Guide, and please add anything I forgot in the comments.

The Origin

In the early 70s, two school kids in California were on a mission to find a marijuana crop nearby, and 4:20 was the meeting time.  They never found the plant, but 4:20 stuck as the official time to meet & puff.  So it's more about the time than the date.

The Public Celebrations

*The Denver 4:20 Rally:  Includes a free concert, numerous vendors, and tons of people who forgot where they parked their cars.  But they have time.  It runs from 10am-8pm.

*Party with Cheba Hut:  Both locations in Fort Collins and the one in Greeley will have food & drink specials all day, plus contests for rolling oregano (bonus if you smoke it?), jalepeno eating, Kool-Aid chugging, and some other things.

*A few more items mentioned in the Coloradoan.

*In garages all around, where no one remembered to close the door.
