7 Physical Assaults Against Women in Fort Collins

Seven different physical assaults against women have occurred in the last six weeks. Police believe that they are tied to one another. At this point they have not been sexual in nature but very similar in that they have all been female victims and it has occurred at night.

According to 9News;The woman, who was riding along the Highway 1 corridor, described the suspect as a Hispanic male in his 30s with a stocky to muscular build, a shaved head or very short hair and a mustache or soul patch, according to a Larimer County Sheriff's Office news release. He fled in an older white or light-colored SUV with two-tone paint on the sides or faded wood-grain paneling

 

The really terrifying thing about these kinds of pattern crimes is that at some point they could lead to a much more heinous crime. We need to find this assailant before he ups the anti and more innocent women are attacked.

Maybe I watch too many crime shows late at night. That is what my girlfriend thinks. But every show starts this way and I would hate to see a more horrific story reported. Ladies please don't ride your bike or walk alone at night.

We live in a pretty awesome area but we aren't immune to crime. It does happen.
