Big Switch: Popular Colorado Hot Wings Chain Changing Location for Car Wash

After starting out in Garden City, Colorado in 2004, Wing Shack Wings has been very successful in Northern Colorado and into Wyoming. They are about to make a move, making way for a car wash expansion.

In the end, this is going to be a win for Wing Shack, the car wash and the town that this Wing Shack is in. It's easy to see how this could have gotten messier than a large portion of Buffalo wings.

Wing Shack has had their location in Windsor, Colorado, since 2012. They must have cooked up millions of wings and fries by now. Soon, they'll be in a bigger place, working on cooking up millions more.

A former co-worker and I used to stop into this Windsor Wing Shack on many occasion for lunch, as it's not far from where the radio stations are located. Of course it's also a great location for high schoolers getting their own lunch; the place can get really busy. Will the new location see them being busier?

Word "got around" in 2022, that Wing Shack would be looking for a new spot for their Windsor location, because the car wash they are next to would be expanding and taking over that current Wing Shack spot, as the car wash was sold to a new owner.

Deluxe Car Wash has/had been around for many many years. For a long time it was the only car wash in its area. Then Bob's Car Wash came along by Grease Monkey, and Cobblestone Car Wash, north of Starbucks. Now, a big car wash chain in Colorado has taken over Deluxe Car Wash: Breeze Thru Car Wash.

Breeze Thru has been opening up new locations on a consistent basis for some time now. They currently have 12 locations, with this Windsor location and a new location in Loveland "coming soon." They'll be taking over the Wing Shack and expanding the current Deluxe Car Wash, while also adding vacuums to a spot to the south, below.

WHERE IS THE WINDSOR WING SHACK MOVING TO?

This new location for Wing Shack will be the third restaurant to take the space in the last five years. The spot is the former location of Lonesome Buck; before that, the location was a STUFT Burger Bar.

I think that this will be a better location for Wing Shack: It's larger and it's easier to get in and out of, parking-wise. I can see them really embracing the "bar" concept at this location, too.

Though they haven't said exactly when the change will be taking place, I would expect the "new" Wing Shack to be open before the fall of 2023.
