What The Heck Is This Giant Bug Found In The Poudre Canyon?!

Ever seen one?  Kind of looks like a bat mated with a spider.

A friend found this on a hike in the Poudre Canyon this week.  A few of her Facebook friends claim it's either:

• An exoskeleton tarantula, or
• Just a very healthy-looking wolf spider.

It is worth mentioning that we were warned about this several years ago, in places like this.

Perhaps this is a good time to remind myself, and everyone, to make sure our houses are fully sealed at every possible opening.

Look, I know forest fires are inconvenient and all, but... can we please lift the fire ban now?  KIDDING, kidding, kidding.
