Like everyone evacuated from the High Park Fire fire, it has been devastating for WOLF. They had to evacuate  30 wolves/hybrids, build temporary housing, care for and be with them to try to help them overcome their fears.  They just do not understand what happened. The WOLF mission is to save captive-bred wolves and wolf-dogs whose caretakers are no longer able to provide for them, for whatever reason.

The annual ‘Waltz for the Wolves’ will raise funds for the sanctuary, but also help cover the costs of their recent evacuation, and most importantly to celebrate the miracles that have occurred over the last two week.

‘Waltz for the Wolves’ helps to generate additional funds to help in the building of fire-resistant shelters for each of the wolves at the sanctuary. We saw first hand how crucial the dens are in keeping these animals safe. This event offers our supporters the opportunity to mingle with two ambassador wolves, dance, dine and be entertained. In addition, supporters have the opportunity to bid on wonderful items through our silent and live auctions.

This event is this Saturday, June 30 from 5:00 – 10:00 PM and will be held at the FABULOUS Drake Center at the corner of Drake and Shields in Fort Collins.

WOLF was forced to evacuate its 30 wolves due to the High Park fire. With the expenses of the evacuation, temporary housing and need to rebuild areas of the sanctuary, now is the time to raise funds for these needs, and most importantly to celebrate all the miracles of the past couple of weeks.
