United Way Of Weld County: Living United
Did you know that the first United Way was found here in Colorado? Denver to be exact and I did not know that until recently. It is actually worldwide now. I got to interview Lyle SmithGraybeal, VP of Community Development for United Way of Weld County.
We talked about what United Way is about, how he found his way there, their main focus areas, and events coming up.
United Way of Weld County has five initiative areas. They are:
Reading Great By 8 - How to help more children read at grade level by the beginning of 4th grade.
Thrive by 25 - Youth mental health.
Weld's Way Home - Ending and preventing homelessness.
Aging Well - Helping older adults get the resources they need to live fulfilling lives as they age.
Connecting Weld - Connecting people to resources.
United Way of Weld County has 2 main events coming up soon:
