Senior Aiden Badalamenti hit a shot he won't soon forget.

The 5-foot-10 Rocky Mountain High School guard nailed a last-second 3-pointer that gave Lobos a 61-60 victory over previously unbeaten Fossil Ridge High School on Friday (Feb. 19).

Badalamenti scored a career-high nine points in the victory. For his big-game heroics, he's this week's Townsquare Media High School MVP.

He recently walked us through the clutch play:

In one word exhilarating. It had been a tight game since the tip-off, one team would take a little lead then the other would bring it back. We were running a play for my teammate Aidan Kuhl to score, but once he came off the double ball screen my defender went and helped on him and I was wide open. Once I saw that I knew he was going to get me the ball, and he did. I caught the ball and shot it with no hesitation, but bricked it, then our big man got the board and kicked it out to me again and I knew I wouldn't miss twice.  It's a shot I will remember for the rest of my life something me and my teammates will never forget.

The Lobos have been on a surge of late. After losing 3 of the first 4 games, Rocky Mountain has now won six of its past seven games.
