Colorado is home to some of the top-rated ski resorts in the country, providing winter fun to novice snow bunnies and expert shredders alike.

Depending on where you fall (no pun intended), the phrase "steep ski slope" will either put fear into your heart or have you lacing up your boots.

However you feel, the Centennial State has plenty of these for you.

Whether you're making a list of runs to avoid or scoping out your next adventure, here are the steepest ski runs in all of Colorado, according to Mountain Reservations:

Aspen Snowmass: Highland Bowl

Don't worry — you won't accidentally stumble upon this bad boy. According to Mountain Reservations, it's about a 35-minute hike to get to the top. If you do get there intentionally, be prepared for pitches ranging from 38 to 48 degrees.

Beaver Creek: Birds of Prey

Mountain Reservations refers to this run, which drops 2,470 feet in under two miles, as "one of the most challenging downhill courses in the world."

Breckenridge: Crazy Ivan 2

This run is so steep that it's not even marked on trail maps. However, Mountain Reservations notes that you can find it near the Zoot Chute trail at the top of Peak 8.

Crested Butte: Rambo

As this Instagram post asserts, this run is "damn steep." Mountain Reservations lists Rambo as the steepest run in Aspen's Lower 48, with a pitch of 55 degrees.

Telluride: Senior's

This run is probably not fit for actual seniors. According to Mountain Reservations, it's only accessible via a hike to the top of Palmyra Peak.

Winter Park: Hole-in-the-Wall Awe Chute to Trestle Trees

There's a reason this run is listed as "experts only." This narrow chute will lead you to what Mountain Reservations calls "the steepest and rockiest glades on the mountain," or Trestle Trees.
