Ski season might've technically kicked off last month, but several Colorado ski areas will be opening their gates for the first time this season this week.

Despite the lack of snow Colorado has seen this year, which has translated into difficult snowmaking conditions for many ski areas & resorts, the following ski areas/resorts are among the first wave of ski locations to have already opened for the 2021-22 season:

Multiple other ski areas are set to follow suit and will be opening for the 2021-22 ski season this week.

As for the others, some Colorado ski resorts have chosen to postpone or delay their opening days -

Last week, officials at Beaver Creek Mountain Resort announced that they'd be delaying their opening day in order to make enough snow on their grounds.
