Since 1975 the streets of Downtown Denver have been lit with holiday cheer during the 9NEWS Parade of Lights. Knowing we all deal with busy holiday schedules, the fine folks who put on the parade on have once again given us two chances to watch. Friday, December 2nd at 8 p.m. and Saturday, December 3rd at 6 p.m. The two mile parade route includes Tremont Place, 17th Street, Arapahoe Street and 15th Street.

Giant balloons, brilliantly lit floats, high school and college marching bands, beautiful horse drawn carriages, and entertaining performances by a number of talented participants are what you can expect from this years version of the parade.

Last year over 415,000 people came out to spectate, and with many more expected this year the free viewing areas along the route will fill up fast. Luckily, grandstand seats in front of the City and County Building are available for purchase.

If you cant make it to the parade, 9News will broadcast the Friday version live at 8 p.m and there will be rebroadcasts Saturday, December 10 at 6:00 PM (9NEWS), Saturday, December 17 at 5:00 PM (My20 KTVD-TV), and Saturday, December 24 at 10:30 PM (9NEWS).

Here's a peak at what you can expect...
