Shopping for milk and bread at one Fort Collins supermarket is about to get a little more interesting. According to The Coloradoan, the Whole Foods location at 2201 College Ave will soon open a taproom to those of legal drinking age within the store.

Laws changed January 1st and now grocery stores are allowed to sell beer stronger than 3.2 % ABV. Whole Foods is taking full advantage and has applied for a 'fermented malt beverage' permit that would allow them to have 12 beers on tap in additions to snacks. Because one simply must have snacks.

Additional law changes included permission for grocery and convenience stores to deliver beer and for select locations to sell beer and wine. If all goes according to plan Whole Foods staff could be getting trained on the taps by April.
