On Tuesday (June 10), Republic Records invited a small group of press to Quad Studios in New York City to listen to brand new music from Godsmack. On hand to host the night was none other than the band's frontman himself, Sully Erna.
After teasing a snippet of the song last week, Godsmack have now unveiled their new single in its entirety. The tune, '1000hp,' also serves as the title track to the band's upcoming album.
We knew the bad blood between Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx and Godsmack went deep, but an entirely new part of the story has just been revealed. From the Crue bassist's own mouth, it was shared that Motley Crue, at one point, threatened to pull out of approximately 15 headlining festival spots if Godsmack were to be added onto the various bills.
