Gannon Stauch, an 11-year-old boy from the Colorado Springs area, has not been seen since January 27. His stepmom was arrested today on first-degree murder charges.

Authorities and volunteers have been searching for Gannon Stauch for over a month, as he was last seen on January 27, 2020, as his stepmother says he was headed to a friend's.

That stepmother, Leticia Stauch, is now in custody in South Carolina on charges of first-degree murder.

According to the Denver Post, her story kept changing the more she was interviewed about Gannon's disappearance, and there's footage of him getting into a truck that day.

Leticia Stauch was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and will be extradited to Colorado to face the charges.

No further information about the case was released by authorities.
