The National Weather Service is warning of slippery road conditions in Northern Colorado Wednesday evening, as a mix of rain and snow is expected.

A cold front from Wyoming is set to bring afternoon rainfall, which is later expected to turn into snow. The National Weather Service issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook.

New snow accumulation of around an inch is possible — it's expected to fall before midnight. Mountain regions above 9,000 feet in elevation are expected to see 3-8 inches of snow Wednesday night.

Thursday's forecast is also predicting Northern Colorado could see 1-2 inches of evening snowfall.

Temperatures are expected to warm up into the 50's for the weekend.
