Shelby’s #tbt Song: Mazzy Star Vs. Dum Dum Girls

Mazzy Star's 'Fade into You' (1993) probably ranks within my top ten favorite songs of the 1990s. So when I heard this song, it had my attention.

I was streaming season three, episode three of Orange is the New Black when I heard Dum Dum Girls' 'Coming Down,' and assumed it was another old Mazzy song. Admittedly, the two songs are eerily similar, and while I actually really like them both, I have to favor the original gloomy girl rock. That said, I love that '90s grunge is making a comeback, in music, and in style.
