Search Continues for Maximum Security Inmate That Escaped From Jefferson County Jail [PHOTO]

7News in Denver is reporting that a 32-year-old registered sex offender with a long list of other offenses has escaped from the Jefferson County Jail in Golden and may have stolen a blue SUV. Travis Sandlin, who was classified as a maximum security inmate, is described as a caucasian male, 6 feet tall, weighs 185 pounds and had brown hair and hazel eyes. The car that was stolen is a 2012 blue Honda Pilot with license plate 251ZCD. He was last seen wearing a gray jumpsuits and may have injured his leg while escaping. On top of being charged with a sex offense, Sandlin has an 11 page arrest history in Colorado, including burglary, possession of a weapon, aggravated motor vehicle theft, ID theft, possession of a controlled substance, criminal trespass and theft.
