Rocker Wants Daughters To Snort His Ashes When He Dies
When a lot of us reach old age, we make wishes for our remains once we pass away. Some of us want our ashes to be scattered at the lake or farm we grew up at, while others want to be buried at the cemetery with our loved ones.
And then there's rocker Keith Richards, who wants his daughters to snort his cremated remains when he dies.
Richards, 71, said he wants his daughters Theodora, 30, and Alexandra, 28, to snort his ashes the same way he snorted his father Bert. He even said, "I'll give them a straw."
In a 2007 interview, the Rolling Stones guitarist admitted to snorting his father.
"He was cremated and I couldn't resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow," said Richards.
In 2010, he clarified the story by saying, "I opened dad's ashes, and some blew over the table. I asked, should I desecrate them with a broom? ... So I wet me finger and I shoved a bit of me dad up me f****** 'ooter. I'm sure he's still blessing me. The rest I put around a tree."
Richards quit using cocaine in 2006 when he fell out of a palm tree in Fiji, and says he has no regrets about taking heroin: "Regret is when I ran out. I loved hanging out with junkies; very interesting, discerning drug takers," he told GQ magazine.
