Milk bottle pin-up models are actually a thing - and milk consumers aren't too happy.

Outrage began to pour in on social media after the new Müllermilch drink designs hit the shelves in Germany and Austria. The drinks feature provocatively posed women wearing Santa hats and little else, covered up by foods representing the milk's flavor.

Of course, one bottle in particular is particularly racist.

The chocolate milk bottle shows an afro-clad black woman adorned with a big chunk of chocolate (shown in the video above).

Protests broke out on social media using the hashtag #ichkaufdasnicht - "I will not buy it."

British-based feminist activism group Pink Stinks created an online petition urging German regulators to remove the bottles from the shelves.

"We are living in 2015, in a time when the women want to be more than milkmaids and we should show new female role models to our children," says the petition, which earned over 16,000 signatures by Sunday afternoon.

Müllermilch argues its pin-up poses "are much less revealing than what has become the daily standard in terms of naked flesh on TV and in advertisements in recent years."

The company says the bottles, which have received "some very positive consumer feedback," will stay in stores through December.
