The New York Department of Corrections has DENIED parole for Mark David Champan. Chapman plead guilty in 1981 to shooting John Lennon in the back four times on December 8th, 1980 as Lennon and Yoko Ono entered their Manhattan apartment building.

Chapman, now 57, will continue to serving his 20 years to life sentence; unless paroled at his next hearing-it is unknown when the next parole hearing will be.
