Last Saturday night at a King Soopers in Fort Collins, an anonymous donor dropped a $1,500 gold coin into a Salvation Army donation kettle.

It's that time of year again, when Salvation Army bell ringers set up their red donation kettles and brave the cold for people in need.

Well according to today's Coloradoan, it seems that it's also become an annual tradition for one mysterious donor to contribute a 1978 1-ounce gold Krugerrand coin, valued at $1,500, to the campaign. For the last 15 years, the coin has been anonymously dropped into a random red Salvation Army kettle in the Fort Collins area. HOW COOL IS THAT?

Whoever you are... You. Are. Awesome. Cheers!
