Is Colorado’s Best Mexican Restaurant in Commerce City?
If you are looking for authentic food, great drinks and a lot of fun when dining out for Mexican, this spot on Highway 2, north of I-70, is hard to beat.
It's a great little family-owned restaurant full of great people putting smiles on faces with each meal, and suffering through the Broncos losses, just like the rest of us. If you are a margarita fan, and fan of Mexican restaurants in Colorado, you really need to stop in.
Fantastic food, wonderful people, and spectacular drinks. That's what I think of when it comes to this little spot in Commerce City. You may immediately think "Commerce City' when it comes to naming off locations of great Mexican restaurants, but you may have not been to this place.
I lived in the Commerce City area for over a year, and made my way over to this place multiple times. It's easy to find, right off of Highway 2 on the east side of the road before 72nd Avenue. When you look at the google map, you can see there is a lot of competition in the area for them.
Thing is, El Jardin has been around for over 40 years; they're not too worried about "the other guys." El Jardin, "The Garden," brings experience and a lot of fun to Highway 2. Every time that I have been there, I've really enjoyed it.
The bar that they have, "Benito's Cantina" (that they installed in 2013) is absolutely the best. The layout, the décor, the atmosphere, the great drinks; they all come together to create a wonderful space within the restaurant. It's a great place for Denver Broncos fans to hang out, as they are also huge fans, and they aren't shy about it. They are always celebrating the victories and lamenting the losses.
With every Broncos gameday, they also give away $100 gift cards, and many love it.
