Downtown Fort Collins Asking for Piano Donations
If you've ever been to Old Town Fort Collins, you have either drunkenly played a painted upright piano, or you have watched someone else drunkenly play one. OK, some people probably play them not drunk, during daylight hours, too.
Pianos About Town is the organization behind the uprights that you can find and play throughout the downtown area. But, they're not just any old pianos, they've been decorated by local artists.
Now, Pianos About Town is asking for piano donations, so the organization can keep the music going.
Pianos About Town posted on Facebook to contact them if you have an upright piano that is at least 48 inches tall, and is in good condition (and works). Email a photo to Liz Good at lgood@fcgov.com or call (970) 416-2646.
If the piano will work for the program, professional movers will pick it up free of charge from the Fort Collins, Wellington, Loveland and Windsor area.
