Do You Have A Colorado Accent?
I worked in a call center a long time ago, and every now & then I'd talk to someone in Connecticut (or somewhere thereabouts) who would tell me I have a "western accent." I wasn't sure how to respond. Later on, I took a radio move to Vermont, where I was not only told I have this "Midwestern 'nice' thing going on," (okay, I just try not to be a jerk,) but also that I enunciate too perfectly. Soooo, you can totally understand me, and I'm easy to get along with... but that's weird? I guess that's just one reason it didn't take me long to come back home.
What IS a "western accent?" I think we talk more perfectly in Colorado than everywhere else. In fact, it's not unusual for us to sound intelligent.
