Many celebrities have made Colorado their second home, using secluded and sprawling acreage to escape the hustle and bustle of places like Hollywood and NYC. Famous actors like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Goldie Hawn, and Kevin Costner all own properties in the Centennial State and have been seen by fans while out and about over the years.

Here, celebrities feel as though they can walk down the sidewalk without being swarmed by paparazzi. Even so, it's exciting to encounter a celebrity in Colorado and can be shocking if it's in a place you'd least expect.

Earlier this week, actor William H. Macy was seen shopping in Basalt, Colorado. He was kind enough to pose for a selfie with a local resident named Erika. In a Facebook comment, Erika mentioned that his wife, Felicity Huffman, was also along for the errand and said hello as well.

Although the exact location of where the photo was taken was not disclosed, comments from others on the post speculated it was possibly at Whole Foods, IKEA, or Costco.

William H. Macy is known for starring in countless roles in both television series and films throughout his career. Some of his most famous parts include playing Frank Gallagher on the TV show Shameless, Jerry in the movie Fargo, and Little Bill in Boogie Nights.

An article from People Magazine explains that William H. Macy and his wife, Felicity Huffman got married on the Snowmass property in 1997. Huffman spent her childhood years growing up on land in a slightly smaller home. When her mother passed away, the couple bought the beloved Colorado property and built a brand-new house. Back in 2019, Architectural Digest featured an in-depth look at their incredible abode. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Basalt home sits on 35 private acres and is part of Sopris Mountain Ranch.

A few other residents chimed in on the Facebook post, saying they'd seen the actor at other places around Basalt and Aspen, including at a hardware store. Another local mentioned William H. Macy once came into the store he was working at looking for socks.
