After Beating CU to Open Their Season, How Do You Think CSU Will Do This Year? – Survey of the Day

We knew it would be a new era for the Colorado State football program when they hired a high profile coach in Jim McElwain. Most thought it would take a few seasons before McElwain's presence made a huge impact, and it still may, but it started as well as it could have with a win over one of the Rams biggest rivals. The win has many Ram fans thinking big things are in store this season in Fort Collins. How do you think the CSU football team will fare this season?

McElwain, the former offensive coordinator at defending national champion Alabama, became the first Rams coach to win his debut since Jerry Wampfler in 1970. None of other 12 Rams coaches who have faced Colorado had ever beaten the Buffs on their first try.

At first glance the Rams schedule looks very favorable. CU was the only team on it that hails from one of only two teams from the "big" conferences along with Boise State later in the year. Although the Rams lost to every opponent they have on this years schedule other than New Mexico and Utah State last year, the confidence is at an all-time high in Fort Collins.

The Rams return to Fort Collins next Saturday (9/8) to host North Dakota State at Hughes Stadium.
