Lowery isn't the first artist to butt heads with the music streaming service recently. As CNN Money reports, 'Taylor Swift and Adele are among the artists who have kept some music off Spotify. Some have criticized streaming services for cutting into industry profits by weakening album sales and offering small royalty payments.'

I personally don't use Spotify. Call me old school (OK, not that old school), but when I hear a song I like, I still go buy it on iTunes and legally download it into my library, because I believe in paying for things. Thanks to technology, there are so many ways you can get away with getting their work into your hands for free. And, this may come as a surprise, but when I want to 'stream' music, I turn to the original free streaming service: my radio.

But that is just me.

I have to stand by artists on this one. Plain and simple; if you like something they create, go support them by paying $1.29 to listen to it indefinitely, because a lot of people will do everything they can to not do that.

Don't take it from me, though. You can read the full post from CNN here. Tell us what you think about online streaming services below in the comments, that's what the internet is for!
