5 Things to Know About Judah & the Lion: Edge of The X
Judah & the Lion will be at The Boot Grill in Fort Collins for our next acoustic Edge of The X set. You guys have been blowing up our phone lines every day dying to win your way into the intimate performance on Friday, but how well do you know Judah?
Here are five fun facts you may not have known.
1) They have a couple Colorado connections.
On September 11, they performed during the Broncos' halftime show at Mile High Stadium (and obviously showed whose side they were on -- sorry, Los Angeles Chargers).
But, that's not it...
2) One of the band members is from Colorado.
The band formed in Nashville, but Nate (dude with the beard, obviously), is originally from Colorado Springs.
3) 'Judah' is the name of Judah Akers, the band's singer and lead guitarist.
But we don't know who the lion is. 'All of us love hip-hop music. We like good, strong beats, but we also like the banjo, and we love the mandolin,' Akers told Rolling Stone. 'We love the uniqueness of that and how no one is really doing that right now.'
4) They like food.
In a recent interview with Battered and Brewed, drummer Spencer Cross gave a mad shout out to pork, mashed potatoes and broccoli, which are all on the menu at The Boot Grill. Coincidence?
5. They watch Gilmore Girls.
I mean, who doesn't? [WATCH]
