The first spring snowstorm of the year has forced the Cheyenne Downtown Development Authority/Main Street to cancel Saturday's 2017 Re-Ride kickoff event.

Despite the cancellation, DDA spokesman Andy Hogan says this year's program is ready to roll and bikes will be available to check out starting Sunday.

"We've got more bikes and one more rack," said Hogan. "And this year it will be easier than ever to actually check out a bike."

The free bike share program, which is put on by the DDA in tandem with Rock on Wheels, was launched in April of 2016.
