Yep, the Longmont Sugar Mill Caught on Fire, Again
The old mills in Northern Colorado just keep going up in flames, and this week's fire wasn't the first in recent history for the abandoned Great Western Sugar Company.
Just before 3 a.m. on Christmas morning, CBS4 reports that fire crews responded to a blaze at the sugar mill in Longmont, and were able to get it under control quickly, though the cause remains unknown.
The same condemned mill, which is pretty creepy on the inside, also caught on fire in late 2016 for unknown reasons, as this Instagrammer shows us below.
Squatters, arsonists; who knows why this building keeps catching on fire. But, it's too bad the building has become so dangerous, because it's actually pretty cool. Someone at least saw the potential in giving Windsor's historic mill a new life, that is, until it, too, caught fire and was almost completely destroyed last August.
Check out this video introduced by Def Leppard's 'Pour Some Sugar on Me,' for a peek at the sugar mill. Yep, Def Leppard. You and me babe, hey hey!
