Rita Chretien and her husband Albert headed out of their home in Canada on March 19th- destined for a trade show in Las Vegas.  They didn't make it to the trade show, and Rita barely survived at all.  Get more on the couple's ordeal after the jump!

Rita and Albert's minivan got stuck in the mud, and after three days Albert went on foot for help.  Albert has not been found.

Mrs Chretien's son, Raymond, said of his mother's rescue: 'We're stunned. We haven't fully digested it. This is a miracle.'

Mrs Chretien wrote a journal to keep her sane during her weeks alone in the forest but told her son that she doubted she would stay alive past Mothers' Day, which was celebrated in the U.S. yesterday.

Once rescued she immediately apologized for the anguish she had caused her family.
