Nearly a decade after Boulder resident Amir Massihzadeh hit the lottery, two state agents visited him with the best worst news.

They told him that he was the only legitimate winner of the $4.8 million jackpot that he split three ways.

According to the agents, the other two people who had "won" the 2005 drawing with him were involved with a lottery insider and several cohorts that had rigged drawings in several different states.

So, now Massihzadeh is suing for the rest of the winnings he thinks are his. Arguing that he should be declared the sole winner and that the cash prize should be 3 times what he actually received.

He also wants to them to account for 12 years of interest.

In total, he's seeking an extra 4 million dollars from the lottery for what he claims was "a breach of contract."
