I don't know if you noticed but Sunday was some kind of crazy in Northern Colorado.

According to the National Weather Service, winds reached 82 MPH in Buckeye of Larimer County — the highest recorded of anywhere in Colorado for the day.

LaPorte also saw 68 MPH winds in Larimer County.

Loveland and Denver both had 59 MPH winds. Weld County reached as high as 71 MPH in Briggsdale.

On Monday, October 12, Fort Collins was under a Red Flag warning for 30 MPH winds and now I can't help but feel like anything over 80 MPH should have its own special warning name.

I was so excited anticipating the Sunday air, I had planned on taking my kid out with me on a run and doing all the Autumn activities.

It didn't quite work out that way though because as soon as I opened the door it was like I stepped into a tornado and my daughter instantly got dirt or something blown into her eye — major fail.

Even my patio cushions took a beating from the wind, in fact, we lost one. So if you live in Windsor and you find a lonely patio cushion, its probably mine.
