What is Colorado’s Favorite Family Sitcom?
From The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Full House to The Simpsons and Schitt's Creek, these family sitcoms have been providing viewers with entertainment for years through their relatable story lines and unique relationship dynamics. But which of these fictional families do Coloradans enjoy tuning in to the most?
A team from CenturyLinkQuote found the answer to this, as well as what TV sitcoms are the most popular in other states too.
To start, the team of researchers compiled a list of 30 different family sitcoms using ScreenRant, Moms.com, and Yard Barker. After finding the search volume of each show in Semrush, the CenturyLinkQuote researchers plugged in the 12 most searched shows into Google Trends to narrow it down and discover which sitcom was searched for the most in each state during the past year.
According to the study, the most-searched sitcom in Colorado is The Simpsons. The Simpsons first aired in 1989 and since then, it's continued to be a favorite show for many people. The long-running sitcom has a total of 712 episodes as of November 2021. The Simpsons was also the most popular across the entire country, with 15 states searching for it the most.
Based on the survey results, the second-most-popular sitcom proved to be That 70's Show with 11 states searching for it, followed by The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with seven states searching for it.
