When you think of hockey players, you normally think about tough, physical, mean, strong, athletic and dudes with missing teeth who would check their own mothers against the glass if needed.

While all of those things are probably still true, there's another side of hockey players, a much more sensitive and softer side but then again, a room full of adorable puppies have a tendency to do that to everyone, even a locker room filled with tough guys who just finished winning a Stanley Cup a few months ago.

The Colorado Avalanche announced and put on full display on their social media pages "Puppy Day" in the locker room with the team and it was all sorts of awesome.

Don't believe me? Check out these pics:

No, these weren't puppies that the players brought from their homes, these were some very special visitors who are looking for their forever homes. How these guys couldn't just scoop them up and just bring them home is beyond me but if you happen to be interested, you're in luck.

The still pictures were pretty awesome but then you put things in video form and things go to a whole new level.

So if you or someone you know is looking to give one or more of these puppies a forever home, check out Moms and Muts Colorado Rescue for Pregnant and Nursing Dogs.
