For the past few weeks we've heard warnings about keeping an eye on our bird feeders and securing our garbage can lids, because the bears are waking up from hibernation and they are hungry.

This morning, Estes Park residents Susan and David Cordes caught the culprits behind these warnings on camera.

In a post by Estes Park News, INC on Facebook they said:

Look who showed up this morning! The bears are out and about. Thank you to Susan and David Cordes for the video.

As always, Colorado Parks and Wildlife is warning residents about bears and reminding us to stay away from our natural neighbors, especially during this time of year:

Bears will work hard to get the calories they need, and can easily damage property, vehicles, and homes. Bears that become aggressive in their pursuit of an easy meal must often be destroyed. Every time we’re forced to destroy a bear, it’s not just the bear that loses. We all lose a little piece of the wildness that makes Colorado so special. Stay away from wildlife.
